Who we are
Vanta Jets is an air charter broker based in Walnut Creek, California. This policy covers vantajets.com and the forms on it. It does not cover an operating carrier’s own handling of your information once a flight is booked with them.
What we collect, and when
When you request a quote. Your name, email address and phone number, together with the trip: the departure and arrival airports for each leg, the dates and any preferred times, the number of passengers and pets, the aircraft category you asked for, and anything you write in special requests.
When you send a message. Your name, email address, an optional phone number, the topic you chose and the message itself.
When you join the mailing list. Your email address, and the date you unsubscribe if you later do.
When you buy a membership or jet card. Payment is taken by Stripe. Card numbers are never sent to us and we never hold them. We keep the customer and subscription identifiers Stripe gives us, the status of the subscription, and when the current period ends.
On every submission. The page you submitted from, and any campaign parameters in the address bar when you arrived, which tell us where an enquiry came from.
IP addresses
We do not store your IP address. When you submit a form, your address is combined with a secret value held on our server and converted to a one-way hash, and only that hash is written down. It cannot be turned back into an address.
It exists for one purpose: counting how many submissions have come from the same place in the last hour, so that nobody can use our forms to send mail repeatedly to an address that is not theirs.
Why we hold it
- To answer you. A quote request exists so an advisor can come back with aircraft and prices, which cannot be done without your trip and a way to reach you.
- To arrange a flight, which means passing what the carrier needs to the carrier that will operate it.
- To take payment for a membership or jet card, through Stripe.
- To send you the mailing list, if you asked for it, until you ask us to stop.
- To keep the forms usable, which is the rate limiting described above.
- To understand which advertising brings people here, described below.
Advertising measurement
This site loads Google Tag Manager, which in turn loads Google Ads conversion tracking. When a quote request is successfully recorded, we report that a request happened, along with its reference number and the email address and phone number you entered.
Those contact details are placed in the page in a standardised form and are converted to a one-way hash by Google Tag Manager before they are sent to Google. This is Google’s Enhanced Conversions feature, and its purpose is to let Google match a conversion to an ad click without us sending plain contact details to an advertising network.
These tools set cookies in your browser. You can block or delete them in your browser’s settings, and the site will continue to work.
Who else sees it
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the operating carrier for a flight you are booking, and with the services that run this business:
- Vercel, which hosts the site and keeps server logs.
- Supabase, which hosts the database your request is stored in.
- Resend, which sends the acknowledgement email and the alert to our charter desk.
- Stripe, which takes membership and jet card payments.
- Google, for the advertising measurement described above.
We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or to establish or defend a legal claim.
How long we keep it
We do not currently delete quote requests, contact messages or mailing list records automatically. A charter enquiry is a commercial record and we keep it while it is useful to the relationship and for as long as we are required to.
We would rather say that plainly than publish a retention schedule we do not yet operate. If you want your information removed, ask us and we will remove it.
Your choices
You can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. You can leave the mailing list at any time, using the link in any message we send or by writing to us. If you are a California resident, you have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended, including the right to know, to delete, to correct, and to opt out of the sharing of personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising. We will not treat you differently for exercising any of them.
Write to hello@vantajets.com or call +1 (888) 927-4434. We may need to confirm who you are before acting on a request about someone’s personal information.
How it is protected
The site is served over an encrypted connection. The database denies access by default and is reachable only by our server, not from the browser. IP addresses are hashed as described above, and card details never reach us. No system is perfectly secure, and we do not claim otherwise.
Children
This site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, tell us and we will delete it.
Changes, and how to reach us
If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it. For anything about privacy, contact us at hello@vantajets.com or through the contact form.
